Call for public consultation – Survey on NTD control programmes using preventive chemotherapy

Deadline: 31 May 2026

21 April 2026
Call for consultation

A survey is being conducted to assess which NTD control programmes using preventive chemotherapy are currently implemented across countries, with the aim of identifying gaps, and exploring national priorities for the coming years.

The study is conducted on behalf of the WHO Department of Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases (Geneva, Switzerland) by the WHO Collaborating Centre for strongyloidiasis and other neglected tropical diseases (Negrar, Italy).

We invite NTD programme managers, national health officials, and other professionals involved in control and elimination of NTDs to complete a short online survey (7 multiple-choice questions, 5-10 minutes). Multiple responses per country are welcome and help enrich the data. The closing date of the survey is 31 May 2026.

Thank you in advance for your time and contribution.

Instructions:

  1. Complete the survey based on your professional knowledge and experience. Don’t worry if your knowledge is incomplete, every piece of information is valuable, even if you are not familiar with all aspects of NTD control in your country.
  2. Some questions allow multiple selections, others require a single answer. This is indicated for each question.
  3. If you do not know a response, select “I do not know”.
  4. All information will be kept confidential, processed anonymously, analyzed at the country level, and used only to inform WHO and for research purposes (disseminated through an open-access publication).
  5. Feel free to share this survey with colleagues who may also have relevant information. Multiple respondents per country are welcome and help enrich the data.
