Overview

The One-hundredth meeting of the Joint Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)/World Health Organization (WHO) Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA) met in Rome from 10 to 19 June 2025. The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the safety of certain food additives. The Committee evaluated the safety of the food additives adipates, ascorbyl palmitate, carob bean gum, dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate, gardenia (genipin) blue, glycolipids, rosemary extract, thaumatin II and 1 processing aids (enzymes) and revised the specifications for seven flavouring agents.
